Location: Aurora is ideally located to major Midwestern cities, including Chicago, Milwaukee, Minneapolis, Indianapolis & Saint Louis. Access to and from Orchard 88 Business Park is conveniently provided via a four-way interchange on I-88 at Orchard Rd. (Location) Transportation: Close proximity to primary interstates and highways (I-55, I-80, I-88, I-90, I-94 and I-355) allows for easy access to and from Orchard 88 Business Park. Major airports include Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport, Chicago’s Midway Airport, as well as Aurora’s own municipal airport. The Burlington Metro, Amtrak, Greyhound and Pace provide passenger service to and from the area. Labor Pool: Approximately 102,000 of Aurora’s residents are between the age of 21 and 65, representing the majority of the workforce. Additionally, Aurora draws labor from the surrounding suburbs. Education: A strong commitment to education from the elementary school level to colleges and universities is available nearby. Six public school districts, 19 private schools, two colleges and one local university provide educational opportunities to the local community. Industry/Business: Aurora continues to explore and implement programs and opportunities relating to the growth and expansion of a variety of businesses. The Aurora Economic Development Commission (AEDC) provides a forum to assist businesses in the expansion and/or relocation of their facilities to Aurora.
